Title: Linux Administrator Location: Onsite - Kingstowne, VA Duration: 6 months Description: Support the installation, configuration, and operation of a Linux landscape in an AWS cloud environment. Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and systems. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. Implement security measures to protect Linux systems from vulnerabilities and unauthorized access. Manage user accounts and permissions. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Linux systems with existing infrastructure. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users. Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures Responsibilities include OS installation and configuration, OS provisioning of application administrators and service users, performing STIGs, and creating scripts to support application functionality or other purposes. Requirements: Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role. In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat). Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
