Location: San Francisco or Seattle Highly Preferred - Remote Considered

Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Content and Taxonomy Scrum Team at Salesforce. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our content systems and taxonomy infrastructure, leveraging your expertise in AWS technologies. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AWS serverless components and Node.js to build scalable and resilient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain content and taxonomy systems within the AWS environment.
Implement highly complex technical changes, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Utilize AWS serverless components such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, AppSync, OpenSearch, and ElastiCache to architect and deploy distributed systems and microservices.
Mentor junior engineers, fostering best practices and contributing to the team's overall success.
Participate in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/deployment processes.

Top Skill Sets:
Proficiency in AWS serverless components and Node.js
Experience delivering distributed systems and high-scale microservices on AWS
Strong understanding of modern software architectural principles and patterns (Domain-driven design, REST, GraphQL, etc.)

Additional Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
7 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in a major technology employed in IT development
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes
Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to development objectives

Critical Details:
Candidates must be available for immediate hiring due to an existing team member going on paternity leave.
Remote candidates will be considered, with a preference for those located in SFO or Seattle.
Work hours accommodate EST/CST/PST time zones.
This position is not eligible for extension or permanent status at this time.
