Responsible for assigning resources & delegating tasks. Possesses strong knowledge of application, tools, methodologies & functional areas. Proficient in deploying software with distributed technologies, to include :JAVA & Java Frameworks (EJB, Spring, Quarkus, etc), JVMs, containers (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and other common distributed technologies and platforms. Proficient in deploying software with mainframe technologies, to include: COBOL, JCL, DB2, CA7, MQ and VSAM. Supports business apps and responsible for leading disaster recovery. Works on highly complex projects & issues. Good understanding of how technology relates to business, market & industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of Fiserv. Interpret payment industry requirements into business technical requirements, understanding relationships and impacts. Job Description: Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience 8+ years of software development engineering experience Working knowledge in Linux, UNIX & z/OS operating systems Proficient with Mainframe Development as well as modern Object Oriented development Need to be able to develop in both a legacy Mainframe TSO environment and also a modern server/container environment using common IDEs and development tools Knowledge and experience in transformation/modernization of processing high volumes of data via Mainframe processing to scalable On-prem Distributed or Cloud processing via microservices and containers Knowledge of the following: File Transmission (FTP/NDM) & batch processing in very high volume settings is required Knowledge of event driven architecture and common event processing models and platforms is desired Experience in technical design writing and documentation Work independently and collaborate in team design session Strong unit testing skills Flexibility to be on on-call support, as required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in Financial Services industry Experience in decomposing and rewriting legacy processes and systems into more modern infrastructures a plus Familiarity in microservice architectures and containers (Kubernetes/K8s, OpenShift, Docker) a plus Familiarity in processing in a cloud (Azure, AWS) environment a plus Familiarity in Domain Driven Design a plus Technical Experience Linux, UNIX (AIX), z/OS Powershell, Bash/UNIX Scripting JAVA, J2EE, EJB, JavaBeans, JavaScript, servlets, JDBC, struts, JSR-352, Hibernate React, Angular, Vue, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vitest, Jest COBOL, CICS, MVS, JCL, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, FileAid, CA-EasyTrieve, Schedule tool (CA-7), Control-M, Abend-AID Eclipse, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, IBM Developer for z/OS JSON, AVRO, XML, XPath SOAP & Restful APIs WLP, WebSphere, Open Liberty, Quarkus, Spring Boot/Batch Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQ Series DB2, SQL, MS Access, Yugabyte FTP/SFTP, NDM Keywords: message queue zos information technology green card microsoft California |
