Resumes were all over the place chose a few to interview but no one had deep enough expertise with the Linux/C++ multi-threaded experience. Didnt expect a highly, highly qualified candidate which would include XumoTV/RDK components. Level III role 5 to 7 years is fine - not looking for 20+ years. Day to day is mix of development & triage/bug fixing issues across the stack. Needs strong C/C++ Linux system level experience. Bonus if theyve worked around systems supporting streaming video and/or RDK it is not required. Asking questions around synchronization & multithreading and candidates arent answering to his satisfaction.
