From: Ravi, Softcom Systems, Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Role: Infrastructure Engineer Location: Detroit, MI 48226 (onsite from day 1) Automation (VRA, Puppet): Expertise in installation, configuration, upgrade, and administration of Puppet, vRA (vRealize Automation aka Aria automation), vRO, Saltstack. Proficiency in maintaining, developing, testing, and implementing infrastructure-as-code (IAC) using Puppet, vRA and Salt. Strong capability to build/troubleshoot blueprints/workflows/playbooks written with PowerShell, JavaScript, bash, YAML, REST APIs, JSON, Python and Ruby. Working knowledge of code management and code promotion using GitHub Familiarity with Azure DevOps which is used to plan and track work units in the automation space. Experience in working with all technical towers (server, database, storage, backup, middle ware and VMWare) within infrastructure to gather requirements from these technical towers for IAC automation. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in all the tools and code in the automation pipeline. Ability to interface with ServiceNow support teams to develop stories and integrate the blueprints and other artifacts developed in Puppet/vRA/Salt to ServiceNow (to facilitate using ServiceNow as the driver to trigger IAC) Work with vendor(s) as necessary to troubleshoot issues. Preferably has prior experience as a server administrator or a database administrator as these skillsets aid in understanding the requirements coming from the various technical towers within the infrastructure team. Has knowledge of Infoblox, CyberArk to be able to write code to interface with these tools for certain infrastructure automation requirements. VBlock : Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Vblock and VxRail systems. In-depth knowledge of converged and hyperconverged infrastructure concepts and technologies. Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.). Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols. Hands-on experience with storage technologies and protocols (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, etc.) Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team. Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, Dell EMC Proven Professional, or equivalent, are desirable.
