Associated Cloud Engineer Hybrid role in Alpharetta, GA- needs to be onsite 2-3 days a week 12+ months Contract Local candidates only must send documentation with name/address Early AWS Focus is on 6-7 productions and large lower environment. lots of integration and environment work- this position will be focus on this one. 2024 focus is looking at AWS cloud and getting e-trade environment up to speed and standards. Timeline- Prioritize and rated on Q1 and working already. Mid-year, end of years, and 2025 E-trade is only AWS- Cloud Team- works closely with security organizations and compliance organizations. Linux is nice since etrade is mostly Linux. Enterprise level AWS, financial is nice. Linux and Terraform Don't need prem can just be all cloud- Not much HIPPA- CRI and SOX knowledge is helpful but not needed. Lambda is nice to have. Fargate is nice to have - not using Kubernetes, but if have it they can pick up Fargate quicker (ECS Fargate) Runs EC2 as well. Data and analytics workloads- Glue, Athena, SageMaker is a bonus. Interview is- 1 round then second will be technical interview - all virtual - 30-minute interviews- technical may be an hour interview- No whiteboarding, o next week interviews will start. Using a lot of Automation and Repos out of Bitbucket DevOps skills are good to have- Core of the job is AWS- Cloud Engineer, Cloud DevOps All employment is done via Terraform. Python experience is nice but not a must. Automation is CI/CD, Jenkins, bitbucket, and Gitlab. Top Four Skills: AWS Terraform Linux CI/CD pipelines Position Summary: This position would work within the cloud engineering organization to assist with the design and implementation our cloud strategy. This position would have specific focus on cloud related project and the day-to-day tasks critical to deploying cloud solutions. Technical Requirements: 1. Describe the technical knowledge and experience required to accomplish the job duties and responsibilities. 2. 5+ years of Enterprise IT Infrastructure or Application development experience 3. Working knowledge of public cloud architectures and services. AWS experience a big plus. 4. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and how best to overcome technical hurdles. 5. Hands-on experience with design, development, and deployment of business software at scale in AWS. 6. In addition, hands-on experience with technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization a plus. 7. Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required. 8. Integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc. 9. Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g., security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.) Familiar with IT audit related tasks and responses. 10. Willingness to challenge the status quo and dig deep into legacy technology, processes, and practices to understand how to transform and move them forward. 11. Experience planning and migrating traditional on-prem architectures to public cloud. Special Skills: 1. Proven track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments. 2. Experience with documenting cloud workloads including runbooks and how to documents. 3. Experience with Jira/Confluence a plus. 4. Experience working with Agile collaboration and project management tooling (Jira, Confluence, and Kanban) 5. Experience with Agile methodologies including Kanban and DevOps software development. 6. Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments. 7. Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python, TFCB and GitHub) 8. Configuration management using Ansible or Puppet. Analytical Requirements: 1. Strong practical Linux systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment 2. Willingness to be a tech evangelist to help drive adoption and acceptance of new patterns and ways to solve problems. 3. Understanding of Continuous Integration - Continuous Deployment (CI-CD) methodologies (Bamboo, Jenkins) 4. Familiar with monitoring tools and strategies. 5. Strong configuration management tooling knowledge 6. Comfortable with version control systems and pipelines (Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.) 7.
