| Direct client position Position: Software Engineer Duration: 5 Months Location: Remote ( Local to Taxes ) DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 1 Software Engineer 3 , hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Software Engineer 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. The contractor role is for a Senior Java Developer and will develop Full-stack Java applications on HHSCs cloud (Azure/AWS ) platform within an Agile (Scrum) environment for Gavel application to track and manage Case Management System. The development team follows Agile (Scrum), and this role should have experience with Agile methodologies. A successful candidate will have hands-on experience programming Full-Stack Java applications on the industrys leading open-source platforms and cloud-based technologies. Supports applications in multiple environments with coding testing, peer reviews, documentation, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting as required. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Required years of experience : 8 years Experience in Java/J2EE Enterprise Development (Core Java, JDBC, Spring Boot, and Angular, for example). 8 years Experience with SQL. 8 years Experience with Web-based user interface development using Web-Tier frameworks (Angular, React for example). 8 years Experience in Web services development (Restful Services , for example). 8 years Experience designing enterprise applications and/or services. 8 years Experience creating technical and functional design documentation. 8 years Experience within software development using Agile methodology (Scrum, for example). 8 years Experience with multi-tier system/application development ( SOA, Microservices, 3-Tier applications , for example). Preferred years of experience : 4 years Experience with Azure . 4 years Experience with Cosmos . 3 years Experience in DevOps technology including CI/CD pipeline and build and deployment tools such as Git.
