| Network Engineer Gainesville, FL (Day one Onsite) Local Candidates Only Requirements: Availability to work on the Clients site in Gainesville, FL (required); Experience in at least two of the following areas: data communications, computer networks/systems/security, communication projects; Experience with communication/data networks; fiber optics, voice processing and video processing and radio transmission systems; Hands-on experience with network administration, physical and electronic security, disaster/recovery techniques and problem solving; Experience with firewalls, VPN, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, biometrics, log file analysis, anti-virus software and all other network security activities; Experience with Energy Systems Secure Network (ESSN); Experience with LANs, WANs, Wireless LANs, IVR and IP networks, VLANs; Experience working with technical manuals, schematics and blueprints; Cisco certification or equivalent nationally and industry recognized certifications (preferred); Valid Florida Drivers License; Preferred : Experience with Unix, Linux and Mac OSX Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Observe all proper and safe work practices and use of tools, communication and testing equipment to ensure the safety of systems, hardware, self and others. Work without direct supervision. Creatively and effectively solve hardware and software systems issues. Work effectively with coworkers and the general public. Maintain a high level of integrity when dealing with customers and systems to instill trust and to maintain security. Possess certain physical abilities and be able to withstand work related environmental conditions (hazardous conditions, moderate heat and confined areas, tasks outdoors under varying climatic conditions, environments with varying noise levels On-call work is required.
