The role is multifaceted, involving responsibilities related to managing and overseeing changes within an organization's information technology systems and ensuring the proper governance and integrity of its data. 1. Understanding of IT systems, cloud and data architectures, and technologies to oversee changes effectively 2. A solid understanding and experience with change management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices 3. Strong knowledge of data governance principles, data literacy, data lifecycle, data quality, and data security practices 4. Knowledge of various change models and frameworks 5. Ability to plan a structured approach to change 6. Risk management skills to identify potential issues and develop strategies to mitigate them 7. Business acumen to develop a data governance model that ensures the data is secure and accessible when needed 8. Data modelling and data architecture 9. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations (such as HIPAA) and compliance requirements related to data governance 10. Ability to align IT strategies with business objectives and long-term planning 11. Skilled in accessing assessing risks related to IT change and data governance and implementing risk mitigation strategies 12. Technical skills such as cloud, database/warehouse design, build and management 13. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 14. Ability to document procedures, policies, and change comprehensively 15.
