Role: SAP security and Authorization Consultant Location: Austin, TX (Locals Only) Duration: Contract Role Description: As a SAP Security Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our SAP systems. You will be responsible for validating system configurations used for testing, testing new developed projects, supporting security activities, conducting security analysis, and administering central station tickets. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our SAP environment and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Validate System Configuration for Testing: Review and validate system configurations to ensure alignment with testing requirements. Collaborate with development teams to verify that systems are properly configured for testing purposes. Identify and address any configuration discrepancies or security vulnerabilities. Test New Developed Projects: Conduct comprehensive testing of newly developed projects within the SAP environment. Evaluate system functionality and security controls to ensure adherence to project requirements. Document test results and provide recommendations for improvement as needed. Support Security Activities: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of SAP security policies, procedures, and controls. Monitor system access and authorization activities to detect and mitigate potential security threats. Participate in security incident response and resolution efforts as required. Assist with Security Analysis: Perform security analysis to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the SAP landscape. Conduct periodic security assessments and audits to assess the effectiveness of security measures. Provide recommendations for enhancing security posture and mitigating identified risks. Administer Central Station Tickets: Act as a central point of contact for security-related inquiries and tickets. Prioritize and escalate security incidents and issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution. Track and document ticket status and resolutions in accordance with established procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience working as a SAP Security Consultant or in a similar role within SAP environments. In-depth knowledge of SAP security concepts, principles, and best practices. Hands-on experience with SAP security tools and technologies, including SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance). Strong understanding of SAP authorization concepts, roles, and profiles. Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
