Position : Business Analyst Location : Glen Rock, NJ (Hybrid) Duration : 6+ Months Contract Job Description: Must be able to work and max rate is We are looking for a business analyst consultant with experience in retail financial systems, Point of Sale, inventory management, cash management, or ERP systems experience. The role will need this background to document current transaction flows and help improve the flows, reverse engineer changes that may be made in the flow of sales data in middleware. This consultant does not need to be systems technical, but able to follow the flow of transactions that occur from the POS terminal through the various systems. Ultimately able to effectively document the current flow and transformations that may occur to data along the route. QUAL CALL NOTES: Need a Leader here who can take initiative with vendors and clients. They need someone who can DELIVER, ask the RIGHT questions Company moving to a new Data ware house: heavy documentation needed for replacement company REALLY NICE TO HAVE: retail apps experience pos or inventory systems experience retail/restaurant/cpg type experience if none of the above, should at least know data flows between ERP systems Reason for the hire: currently experience a challenge with their data from POS systems: specifically bringing the data into their pseudo dw (their integration layer) that feeds their financial systems and inventory mgmt. systems. They have a bad application architecture that we need to figure out NEED a very solid BA with systems experience who will take the diagrams they built and ask the right questions to refine them know what the end users of the systems are looking for Reach out to suppliers who support the DW and understand how they can interface with them better Every system that communicates in and out of the DW is in a flat text file format currently need that to change Document data workflows: streamline and IMPROVE!
