Role: Sr. Technical Business Analyst Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Client: NY State Client Job ID#: HBITS-05-13300 Description An expert-level Software Analyst that will develop and maintain system documentation including business requirements, and project process documentation, training plans, test plans, quality assurance and contingency operations plans, and reports. Duties This individual will be expected to provide expertise and participate in the following activities. Work with end users and/or review/analyse existing documentation or system artifacts to document business system requirements and processes. Analyse and document current CAPAS/FIDAS business processes to identify improvements and to document the new set of business requirements going forward. Develop and maintain all Software and Business Analysis documentation. This includes Workflow, data flow, UI interface, non-functional requirements, test plans, test cases, and use casesut not limited to) the following. Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases. Develop or maintain training or user acceptance testing plans and Tier 1 support guides. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases. Develop or contribute to the development of regression tests and/or user acceptance tests. Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests. Participate in user acceptance testing. Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 months experience performing software, business, and data analysis for multi-year multi-phase projects: developing requirements and specifications according to standard templates; performing business process analysis; facilitating meetings with users to identify & gather software needs, business rules and complex security requirements; and test plan creation and execution. 84 months of experience coordinating, tracking, and analysing testing activities, including creating detailed test plans, executing those plans, use of defect management tools to identify, document, track and communicate problems to technical staff. 60 months of experience testing web-based software applications that include a workflow component, including writing SQL data queries for the purposes of validating application data. 60 months experience using HP Quality Centre/ALM and/or Requisite Pro, or similar. 48 months working on projects utilizing an agile framework. 48 months working with .Net development projects. IIBA Professional Certification. Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology related field, from an accredited institution. Resume.
