About the Role: We are seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and availability of our critical SQL Server databases. You will work independently to manage customer databases, utilizing your expertise to optimize performance, implement best practices, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Responsibilities: Database Management: Manage and maintain customer SQL Server databases independently. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, restorations, and performance tuning. Implement security best practices to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Cloud Migration (Desired): Possess expertise in Azure cloud migration and demonstrate a strong understanding of Azure SQL Database and related cloud services. Assist in migrating customer databases to Azure, ensuring a smooth and successful transition. Manage and optimize databases within the Azure environment. Qualifications: 6-8 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator. Strong understanding of SQL Server database administration best practices. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience with scripting languages (T-SQL, PowerShell) is a plus.
