Job Title: Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer

Visa: Independent ONLY

Note: This is a pharma client and role require a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer with healthcare industry and population-level health / patient analytics for nephrology project experience.

We are currently seeking a skilled Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer for an exciting 1-year contract opportunity with a client in the Princeton, NJ area. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing healthcare data analytics applications, contributing to research, development, and maintenance tasks while collaborating with various stakeholders to support our products.

Responsibilities:
Work within a cross-disciplinary role on the Analytics team, utilizing technical skills to contribute to the development of new healthcare data analytics products.
Engage in both development and maintenance tasks, including building new features and supporting existing products.
Conduct research on state-of-the-art analytic methods and apply findings to the development of new analytics functionality for product platforms.
Demonstrate a willingness to explore and deeply understand healthcare data.
Propose innovative methods for solving analytics problems and provide solutions based on experience.
Effectively convey complex ideas, quickly learn new concepts, and apply newly acquired knowledge in practice.

Required Experience:
7+ years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning within the healthcare industry, preferably with expertise in population-level health/patient analytics for nephrology.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and git version control systems.
Experience in data pre-processing techniques for statistical and machine learning applications.
Familiarity with cloud-based, distributed data systems such as AWS, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Snowflake, and Spark.
Ability to create data visualizations to effectively communicate ideas.
Strong communication skills with a focus on presentations that convey ideas through storytelling.
