Role : Android Technical Lead and Architect Location : Miami, FL (Onsite from day 1) Duration : Contract Job Description: This person will Lead / architect, innovate and create multi-disciplinary technical and functional solutions to complex business problems. This position provides technical leadership to development and design teams and oversees all technical aspects of projects. This candidate must design and implement reusable services that are highly scalable, secure, performant, and low cost to maintain and operate. Key skills: Android Proficient in Java, Kotlin, and concepts such as Kotlin coroutines, and Jetpack components. Experience in developing applications using Compose (nice to have) iOS Proficient in Objective-C, Swift, Cocoa Touch (UIKit, Foundation) Experience in developing applications using Swift UI and Combine (nice to have) Common skills: Hands-on experience in mobile app development with strong mobile UI design and implementation experience Mentor engineers on clean code best practice, lead development of mid and long-term technical roadmaps, including detailed migration strategies to evolve mobile platform. Understanding the clients business use cases and technical requirements, identifying different solutions, and being able to narrow down the best option that meets the requirements. Develop and design the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements and defining technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it Strong design thinking skills - Expert understanding of Apples human interface guidelines (HIG) and Googles Material Design guidelines Brainstorms with Product Managers and designers to conceptualize and estimate new features, Decompose and delegate work to junior engineers. Contributes to System Architecture documentation, develops shared tooling and SDKs for use by multiple teams across the company , perform Code reviews to ensure quality Familiar with git branching strategies and semantic versioning Experience with mobile analytics, and implementing observability (application performance and monitoring) Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, threading/concurrency and application architecture (MVC,MVVM/VIPER/CLEAN) Proficient in app build management and provisioning incl. Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions Solid understanding of app development life cycle including Store compliance policies and submission requirements Working knowledge of Web Services & REST (JSON) APIs, Google API Integration, Firebase Hands-on with code reusability, clean architecture, modularization, build time optimizations Familiar with various third-party tools, libraries widely used Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications such as Firebase and Adobe. Should have working experience with cloud and DevOps/DevSecOps Experience with writing test cases with RestAssured/Browserstack/Playright Experience with any hybrid technology like ReactNative/Flutter etc. is a plus Experience with agile software development practices, including Scrum/Kanban Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
