What are the must-have skills of your ideal candidate (top 3-5) Proficiency at designing and developing software using many of the following: [Java (Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate) or Python (Django)], SQL (Postgres), AWS (S3, Fargate, ElastiCache, RDS), Terraform, Athena, Fargate, Step Functions, ElasticSearch Experience building enterprise software with complex business rules and data models Experience designing and developing microservices or other distributed systems Experience with scaling to work with large data sets top 3-5 behavioral competencies looking for in an ideal candidate Ability to influence and communicate effectively with team members and business partners at a senior engineer level What tools, systems, or technology proficiencies will this person need What does the team currently use Proficiency in Agile software development methodology, processes, and practices Role Calibration Questions Preferred Years of Experience Range (does it have to be industry/consulting specific) Consulting experience strongly preferred Five or more years of experience in software engineering, preferably with prior experience in a senior engineer role Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience What projects or business problems with this person work on immediately if hired Actively participate as a coder and reviewer among a small software engineering team. Work closely with Agile teams to collectively devise, build, assess, and maintain data-centric solutions. Lead discussions on architecture and decision-making within the team and in collaboration with other teams. Engage with essential project stakeholders, guide team members, and advance software engineering methodologies. Establish and promote the adoption of technologies and methodologies aimed at reducing risk and enhancing efficiency. Uphold and enhance established software development standards and best practices.
