| From: mykel warner, w3global [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Senior DevOps- Site Reliability Engineer -Fort Worth, Texas -Full-TIME JOB Only LOCALS Location: Fort Worth, Texas Status: Full-Time ROLE OVERVIEW As a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer. this role will specialize in AWS Cloud Services and Site Reliability best practices, they will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our cloud-based applications and operating platform. They will work closely with development teams both internal and 3rd Party to integrate their projects into the production AWS environment and oversee the continuous operation of our operating platform. They will also be responsible for other non-production environments such as Dev, QA, Staging etc. This role will also have some accountability around projecting, communicating and tracking costs related to operating the platform and associated environments. RESPONSIBILITIES Cloud Infrastructure Management: Build and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services. Ensure reliable deployment and operation of various services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, etc. Assist developers in creating the monitoring hooks & data collection for performance and cost tracking metrics. Setup and management of SaaS, IaaS and APM logging infrastructure. Setup and management of operational alerts supporting production support operations CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design and develop and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines to automate the deployment process. Implement system test frameworks for automated system health checks. Site Reliability Engineering: Enhance system performance and reliability through regular monitoring and tuning. Respond to and resolve operational incidents and outages, ensuring high availability and performance of our services within company and external customer SLAs. Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices and maintain compliance with industry standards. Conduct / collaborate with 3rd party security reviews and risk assessments for the infrastructure and application architecture. This includes external penetration load and performance testing. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development teams to ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets their development needs and follow best practices for team autonomy and product development velocity. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable experience in a related field. Must be fluent in English - written and verbal Technical Skills: Proficient with AWS Cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, EKS, ECS etc.). Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline etc). Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (ECS, Docker, Kubernetes etc.). Experienced and strong understanding of Linux/Unix and MS Windows system administration. Experienced with scripting languages such as Python, Bash etc. Familiarity with C#.NET, Javascript, SQL and other relevant programming languages. Experienced with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). Knowledge of monitoring tools such as (AWS X-Ray, CloudWatch, VMWare CloudHealth, Prometheus, Grafana) and logging (ELK stack). Familiarity and understanding of Database architectures such as SQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc. Experience with 3rd Party IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Monitoring tools like DataDog, NewRelic etc. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with offshore / outsourced development teams. Certification(s) (Preferred but not mandatory) AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Any other relevant industry certifications related to Microsoft Azure, Linux, Kubernetes, or Security. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Experience: 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar development role with a focus on AWS Cloud Services and Site Reliability.
