Experience with C, Pro*C, and CORBA is a plus Position Overview: As a Technical Architect at Empower, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions leveraging your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, API development, and AWS cloud services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to convert working legacy code with replacement solutions in our predefined target architecture/stack. You will advise and consult cross-functional development teams to facilitate ongoing implementation efforts to re-platform mission-critical legacy code to the target-state architecture. Requirements: Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar role, with a focus on Java-based solutions. Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Spring Boot framework. Extensive experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs using frameworks like Spring MVC or similar. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (Amazon Web Services), including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications: Strong preference for candidates with experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI (formerly known as Swagger), promoting standardized API documentation and enabling seamless integration and communication between backend services and clients. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Experience with deployment via CI/CD pipelines.
