As an Epic Clarity Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the Epic Clarity database, ensuring accurate and efficient retrieval of healthcare data. This role demands a deep understanding of Epic Clarity Data, data models, and the ability to create SQL queries and views to extract meaningful insights. You will be responsible for documenting your work and conducting training sessions for executive staff to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the data views. Responsibilities: Deep Understanding of Epic Clarity Data: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the Epic Clarity Data structure, tables, and relationships Stay updated on Epic software updates and enhancements related to data models SQL Query and View Creation: Design and implement complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Epic Clarity tables Develop and optimize views that provide efficient access to relevant healthcare data. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure SQL solutions meet business needs Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all SQL queries, views, and data models developed Maintain up-to-date documentation reflecting changes, updates, and improvements to the Epic Clarity database Training Executive Staff: Develop and conduct training sessions for executive staff on the usage of SQL queries and views developed within Epic Clarity Provide clear and concise training materials, ensuring that executive staff can independently access and analyze relevant healthcare data Data Governance and Security: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures in the development of SQL queries and views Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive healthcare information Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Proven experience working with Epic Clarity Data and a strong understanding of its data models Proficiency in SQL query development and optimization Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Experience in healthcare IT or related industries is a plus Epic Clarity certification is highly desirable.
