Working with REST APIs and JSON Basic regular expressions Basic Windows server administration: Task Scheduler, setting permissions Solarwinds SWQL, XML, and other data formats BMC Network Automation custom adapters Git or another source code management system Responsibilities Looking for a network automation contractor to improve our tools and capabilities. Youll be part of the network engineering team, and will listen to the team and our colleagues about the work they do, assess whats possible with the tools we already have, and then improve those tools or build new tools. The role is primarily scripting and integrating with BMC Network Automation, NetBrain, DX NetOps, Solarwinds, and Infoblox. We dont expect you to be a network engineer or have experience with all of the tools just mentioned. Collaboration skills. Youll need to work with our stakeholders to make their jobs easier and to produce higher quality configurations. Youll need to schedule meetings, ask questions, and clarify the answers. This means excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Evaluating new tools and applications, and working with vendors to find the limits of their software. This includes requesting the necessary servers, installing applications, and integrating them with other tools and data.
