Requirement Details: Role: DBT Data Engineer Location: San Diego, CA or Orange County, CA (Hybrid) Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Utilize DBT Labs and Python to develop logical and physical data models for various objects . Work closely with the team to ensure the efficient execution of data engineering tasks within the project timeline. Investigate and assess the feasibility of mapping SAP HANA BASE Views to a New Dimension Model. Design, develop, and maintain data transformation processes using DBT to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Collaborate with the data engineering team to optimize data pipelines and workflows. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed. Communicate project status, challenges, and milestones to project stakeholders effectively. Deliverables: Logical and physical data model for the objects. Potential mapping of SAP HANA BASE Views to New Dimension Model. Requirements: Proven experience working with DBT Labs and Python for data engineering projects. Strong understanding of Snowflake data warehouse architecture and best practices. Proficiency in SAP data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Experience in developing logical and physical data models for complex datasets. Familiarity with SAP HANA and the ability to map BASE Views to new dimension models is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet project deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
