Employ secure configuration management processes. Perform security reviews, identify gaps in applications and security architectures, and develop a security risk management plan. Define and document how the implementation of a new system or new interfaces between systems impacts the security posture of the current environment. Determine the protection needs (i.e., security controls) for the information system(s) and network(s) and document appropriately. Document the vulnerability management process including security impact analysis. Track vulnerabilities until remediation. Determines security protocols by evaluating business strategies and requirements. Responds to, and investigates, security incidents and provides thorough post-event analyses.
