From: Sonali, KPG99 [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: GIS Systems Administrator Visa: GC, USC only Duration: 6 months Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybird 2-3 days onsite in a week) GIS System Administrator Provides technical support to City of Memphis Divisions/Departments. It is the responsibility of the GIS System Administrator to aid both GIS users and non-users in the development and application of GIS solutions. This position requires an extensive working knowledge of the GIS software and related system administration capabilities. Applicants should be comfortable working with multiple teams and team members that report into different organizations and can break down communication barriers to get the job done. This individual will be required to work closely with members of different departments and clients teams, including but not limited to subject matter experts, technical leads, and project managers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Create and manage data automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and/or SQL scripts. Complete ArcGIS software patching for systems on a manual and automated cycle. Experience in upgrading ArcGIS Enterprise Systems to applicable or up to date new versions. Support the currently deployed Esri product suite and all future releases of the Esri product lines. Administering ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Servers. Support the GIS Team on any needs regarding ArcGIS Software requirements. Operationally support and maintain the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments including Esri Portal, Datastore, and ArcGIS Server. Document all server configurations and architecture settings. Tuning the ArcGIS server environments and products running on the server environments. Good Understanding on ArcGIS Products Life Cycle. Troubleshoot geospatial software issues to ensure full functionality. Providing initial support, targeting a higher level of first contact resolution. Manage Active Directory (AD) objects (users, and groups) for authentication and authorization to GIS applications, files, folders, and Esri Enterprise Geodatabases. Researches and provides recommendations for computer hardware and GIS software purchases. Education/Technical Skills/Experience: Bachelors degree in Geography, GIS, Cartography, Computer Science, or related discipline. Masters Degree would be a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience with planning, designing, installing, configuring, testing, de-bugging, administering, maintaining, upgrading, and documenting Esri-based Windows servers. Experience with documenting complex, technical processes. Experience with geospatial data, geodatabases, analysis, maps, services, and applications.
