| Title: Lead Data Engineering Location: Cincinnati, OH (Madisonville location). Hybrid - Role is on site 3+ days a week. Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD. Client: Bank/Financial Services Please share your resume if you are only local to Cincinnati, OH GENERAL FUNCTION: As a member of an agile squad, responsible for implementing new data transformations and processes, enhancing and maintaining complex existing jobs and sequences, and enabling capabilities using modern data engineering tools and practices. Adheres to practices and standards, set by communities of practice, and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement. Shares responsibility and accountability for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement new features while maintaining overall quality of software. Committed to producing evidence that all development and related data are complete and accurate. Contribute to a culture of learning by documenting and sharing technical knowledge as a developer on an agile squad. Participate in developer communities of practice by following best practices, participating in code reviews, and sharing knowledge. Remain current on relevant technology trends. Participate in researching and resolving customer issues. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable with 2 years or less of software development experience. Demonstrated experience with relational databases (Oracle) and SQL. Proven experience with data transformation development and tools (DataStage). Knowledge of coding languages, including Java and XML. Knowledge of object-oriented design and development experience Understanding of basic networking, Linux and Windows concepts. Experience with command line tools (Putty) and shell scripting. Experience with version control solutions. Understanding of the full software development lifecycle. Familiarity with security best practices for software development.
