In this role, you will play a critical role in optimizing and expanding our Datadog environment, ensuring efficient monitoring and alerting for various systems and processes. Responsibilities: Datadog Environment Optimization: Review and analyze existing Datadog configurations, including metrics, dashboards, logging, and alerting. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance monitoring effectiveness. Integrate Datadog with internal tools like CMIC and Centrify for comprehensive monitoring. Implement automated agent deployment and configuration management for efficient scaling. Develop and maintain documentation for Datadog processes and configurations. Monitoring and Alerting: Define and implement anomaly detection and alerting based on performance benchmarks. Create and maintain dashboards to visualize key metrics and identify potential issues. Configure and tune alerts to ensure timely notification and appropriate escalation procedures. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations) to understand monitoring needs and requirements. Share knowledge and expertise of Datadog best practices within the team. Stay up-to-date on the latest Datadog features and functionalities. Qualifications: Essential Skills: 4-6 years of experience in system administration, monitoring, or related technical field. Proven experience with Datadog, including configuration, dashboards, and alerting. Strong understanding of monitoring principles and best practices. Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desirable Skills: Experience with CMIC integration and internal AD process monitoring. Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools. Experience with data visualization and exploration techniques.
