Job: Manager & JIRA Subject Matter Expert (SME) Location: Newark, CA(Onsite) Term: 12+ Months Visa : No H1b Linked in must Job Description Our client, a rapidly growing company, is seeking a Manager & JIRA SME to lead and manage JIRA-related projects, ensuring efficient workflow, project tracking, and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires a deep understanding of JIRA, including the ability to create complex workflows, manage permissions, and integrate JIRA with other tools and platforms. **Responsibilities:** - Create, manage, and administer JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, and notifications. - Design, configure, and support Atlassian tools, with a primary focus on JIRA. - Lead the upgrade of JIRA and other Atlassian products within required environments. - Provide technical assistance and conduct training sessions on JIRA/Confluence for staff. - Compile and analyze development and operational bug reports. - Work closely with stakeholders to customize JIRA workflow and optimize business processes. - Monitor JIRA servers for performance and troubleshoot common errors. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field. - 5+ years of hands-on experience with JIRA administration. - Proficiency in Linux administration, DB administration, and JVM tuning. - Expertise in scripting for JIRA and developing Atlassian plugins. - Strong understanding of SDLC and experience with Agile teams. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with Confluence administration. - Knowledge of SQL and database management. - Experience in Unix/Linux environments.
