Role: SAP Basis Architect Location: Hackettstown, NJ (Locals Only) Duration: Contract Visa: Only H1b who can share pp no Role Description: We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Architect to join our team and take ownership of our SAP landscape's architecture, design, and administration. As a SAP Basis Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our SAP systems, as well as providing strategic direction for their ongoing development and enhancement. Key Responsibilities: Architectural Design and Planning: Design, implement, and maintain the SAP landscape architecture, including system landscapes, system configurations, and integration points. Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and standards for SAP Basis operations. System Administration: Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other SAP components. Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of SAP systems through proactive monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain SAP security policies, roles, and authorizations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including GDPR, SOX, and other data protection requirements. Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks. Performance Optimization: Analyse system performance metrics and implement optimization strategies to improve SAP system performance, scalability, and responsiveness. Work closely with application teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Upgrades and Migrations: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, migrations, and patching activities. Coordinate with functional teams to ensure minimal disruption to business operations during upgrade and migration projects. Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Design and implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions for SAP systems. Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or data loss. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SAP Basis administrators. Share knowledge and best practices with the broader IT organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and architecture. In-depth knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture, ABAP stack, Java stack, and SAP HANA database. Hands-on experience with SAP system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in SAP security concepts, including user management, role design, and authorization objects. Experience with SAP system upgrades, migrations, and patching. Strong understanding of SAP performance tuning and optimization techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. SAP certifications in Basis administration and architecture (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) are a plus.
