Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Workday

Preferred: Workday Functional Certifications; Workday Pro certification in one or multiple HCM modules

Provides Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development including business process configuration, data upload (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support specifically for Core HR, Payroll, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Time & Absence

Experience in workday payroll troubleshooting, year end activities

Experience is running pay roll (Full cycle)

Experience in USA and Canada payroll using workday

Can provide analytical support for payroll and GL issues

Maintains training and communication material, may participate in delivery of training

Develops and drives innovative and proactive change efforts for HR process improvements, including enhancements to end user experience

Participates in deployment of new businesses: map current processes and data, identify gaps with Workday processes, recommend changes, define requirements, configure, test and validate changes

Assists with bi-annual releases, including analysis of impacts of new functionality, testing of integrations and cross functional up and downstream analysis

Configure Workday security, including user roles and permissions, data access policies, and integration user accounts

Working on Snow and handling group1 and other P1 tickets.

Experience in a support environment, using ticketing system to prioritize, manage, communicate, and resolve issues.

Experience in understanding and gathering the business requirements, translating them into Functional specifications

Keep abreast of new Workday features and functionality, and make recommendations on how to leverage them to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Collaborate with IT and HR teams to resolve cross-functional issues related to Workday

Leadership & Communication:

Ability to work well with different staff levels within and out of core competency

Communicates in a professional manner when interacting across staff levels and internal/external customers.

Understands the importance of communicating risk assessment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients needs and situation

Excellent collaborator and a team player

Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution

Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information

Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management

Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities

Focus on quality and customer service
