Position Summary:

The Senior Atlassian JIRA Software and JIRA Service Management Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive management, customization, and optimization of the Atlassian JIRA Software and JIRA Service Management platforms. This role is critical for enhancing organizational productivity by implementing Agile, DevOps, and Product Management methodologies across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This is a hands-on, technical role requiring a high level of expertise in both JIRA Software and JIRA Service Management, as well as a deep understanding of software development and operational best practices with tools such as PowerBI, Tempo.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

        Architect, configure, and administer JIRA Software and JIRA Service Management solutions to align with the company's business requirements.

        Act as a liaison between technical consulting and business consulting teams and client business stakeholders, development teams, and IT departments to ensure that Atlassian tools are customized to meet evolving needs.

        Implement and manage Agile, DevOps, and Product Management frameworks within the Atlassian ecosystem, with a focus on enhancing workflow efficiencies.

        Provide expertise in the full SDLC, from planning and requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

        Develop advanced queries, reports, and dashboards to provide key insights into project status, quality metrics, and resource allocation.

        Conduct training sessions and prepare documentation to ensure the efficient and effective use of Atlassian tools across the organization.

        Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to JIRA Software and JIRA Service Management.

        Collaborate with other departments to drive cross-functional projects, ensuring that best practices are adhered to.

        Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in implementing Agile, DevOps, and Product Management frameworks.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
At least 8 years of hands-on experience in managing Atlassian JIRA Software and JIRA Service Management platforms.
Preferred to have Certified Atlassian Professional (ACP) certification is strongly preferred.
