Position: Finops Lead Location: Remote Duration: Long term contract JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a Cloud FinOps Consultant Lead to join our rapidly growing Global Cloud organization. The primary responsibility is to engage cross functional teams to work collaboratively on FinOps objectives, perform detailed cost analysis of consumption using advanced power BI & Azure knowledge and conduct regular optimization activities. This person will partner within our Cloud and engineering teams and identify areas of opportunity to improve the quality of product and service by improving tagging, managing reserved instances, identifying & eliminating waste on the cloud. This person wil play a pivotal role by partnering with our Product & Technology (P&T) and Cloud Excellence teams to help increase cost tracking and cost estimation of new resources, environment clean-ups and keeping our cloud budget in control. The successful candidate will build excellent working relationships with multiple empower his/her team to ensure identification of optimization opportunities, pro-active approach to cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, cost-estimating. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of working experience as a FinOps Consultant/Cloud Architect. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python Programming or development background, PowerShell, CLI scripts, Microsoft Azure, Advanced Power BI, Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, Proven track record of successfully managing complex data, and developing and implementing FinOps best practices. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams across different locations and cultures. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills while working with diverse audiences including highly technical Professionals, Developer: constantly evolving team environment and Architects Ability to navigate and translate complex issues and create collaborative, cross-functional solutions. High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills Public Cloud experience Deep analytical skill and a passion for gathering information from various sources; analyzing and presenting recommendations to leadership to drive process improvements. Experience in process improvement identification, recommendations, and implementation. A good understanding of Change, configuration, and other related processes. Experience using ticketing system like service now, Jira etc. Strong Team - building skills and ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team. Strong written and verbal communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences. Certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP are a bonus. IMPORTANT NOTE - The customer is looking for a resource with 5 years of working experience as a FinOps Consultant/Cloud Architect and experience in Python Programming or development background, PowerShell, CLI scripts, Microsoft Azure, Advanced Power BI.
