Network Administrator (4-6 years experience) Location: Wayne, NY (Onsite) About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Network Administrator to join our team in Wayne, NY. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and stability of our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including network configuration, troubleshooting, and user support. Responsibilities: Network Management: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN/WAN environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Manage and troubleshoot network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs). Perform security operations on ASA firewalls, including configuring IPsec VPNs, NAT, and failover. Install and configure DHCP and DNS servers. Maintain extensive knowledge of various networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, FTP, etc.). Troubleshoot network issues onsite and remotely. Experience troubleshooting internet connectivity and hardware-related issues on Cisco networks is a plus. Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal users and network teams. Dispatch technicians to install and test network equipment. Collaborate with other departments to ensure network integration with other systems and processes. Additional Responsibilities: Manage and participate in various network upgrades and projects. Resolve UPS-related issues and program the UPS system to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Document network configurations and procedures effectively. Maintain strong communication and collaboration with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders. Qualifications: Essential Skills: 4-6 years of experience in network administration. Strong understanding of network routing, switching, and firewall security concepts. Experience in configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN environments. Proficient in Cisco networking equipment and technologies. Experience with network security protocols and configurations (firewalls, VPNs, ACLs). Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and resolve network problems effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Skills: Experience with ITIL-based systems like ServiceNow. Knowledge of wireless network technologies and troubleshooting. Experience with UPS systems and power management.
