hello POSITION _ Java Developer, Must be local to Denver CO Hybrid , USC and GC only Only usc , GC Top Requirements - Proficient hands-on experience in both Java and JavaScript development (SDLC, Agile, Scrum backgrounds are huge plus) - Strong micro-services architecture and design patterns background using SpringBoot (bonus: team specifically uses Springboot 2.6.6). - Hands-on Apollo GraphQL (GQL) experience Plusses: - Skills in working with AWS services such as Document DB, AWS MSK, and Keyspace - Jersey - Swagger - Karate Framework - Jenkins Day to Day/Project: -We work within the portal designed for our Multi Dwelling Unit customers (hotels, apartments, etc). As a Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the technical aspects of a software development team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. Here are the roles and responsibilities; - Provide technical leadership to the development team by setting technical direction, best practices, and coding standards. - Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to design and review the software architecture, ensuring it aligns with project requirements and follows best practices. - Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards. Provide constructive feedback to team members. - Mentor junior developers, assist in their technical growth, and help them overcome challenges. - Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation. Work closely with the business/technical partners to set realistic timelines for development tasks. - Identify performance bottlenecks in the application and guide the team in optimizing code and database queries for better performance. - Ensure the development team follows proper testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing. - Identify technical risks and challenges early in the project and propose mitigation strategies. - Foster cross-functional team collaboration such as product management, DevOps, other technical partners to ensure smooth project delivery and deployment.
