Azure cloud Engineer Cincinnati OH (Preferred ) or Remote As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for working with a small team for a six-month term with the goal of completing a system migration to the Azure cloud. The system migration from an on-prem datacenter to Azure is approximately 50% complete. Systems in scope include Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server and Globalscape. You will work closely with our operations team to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of the system during and post transition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure cloud services and a passion for staying up to date with the latest cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Prior experience with the lift and shift of monolithic applications into Azure. 2. Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure solutions to support our applications and services. 3. Implement and automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of cloud resources. 4. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability in the cloud environment. 5. Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across the Azure environment. 6. Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime. 7. Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies and perform regular backups. 8. Stay current with Azure services and features, evaluate new technologies, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 9. Document architecture, processes, and procedures related to Azure cloud infrastructure. 10. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on Azure cloud services. Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Virtual Machines, SQL Database, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, etc. Knowledge of networking concepts, including VPNs, VNETs, and security groups.
