From: Pavan Kumar, Yochana IT [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Overview: The Solution Governance Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring effective governance for a large-scale Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation, which involves multiple vendor teams following the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology. This position focuses on driving governance at the solution level, collaborating with solution train engineers, and supporting the achievement of objectives and key results (OKRs) for the solution. The Solution Governance Lead develops and implements the Governance Framework, supports planning initiatives, and facilitates key processes to drive roadmap milestones. Location: Onsite at San Antonio, TX Key Responsibilities: Governance Collaboration: Collaborate with solution train engineers for Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation to drive effective governance practices, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and priorities. OKR Support: Support the solution-level team in setting and achieving objectives and key results (OKRs), providing insights, guidance, and facilitation to enhance performance and drive results. Governance Framework Development: Develop and implement the Umbrella Governance Framework, defining core and non-core governance processes, structures, and responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective decision-making and execution. Planning Initiative Support: Support planning initiatives for the solution, including Program Increments (PIs) and beyond, by providing governance oversight, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals and priorities. Roadmap Milestone Management: Build out and support the running of key processes to drive roadmap milestones, including milestone tracking, progress monitoring, issue resolution, and risk management. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including solution teams, vendor teams, leadership, and other key stakeholders, to gather input, communicate governance requirements, and foster collaboration and alignment. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the solution governance framework, leveraging feedback, lessons learned, and best practices to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to solution governance, ensuring proactive risk management strategies are in place to minimize potential impact on project delivery and outcomes. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation related to solution governance processes, decisions, and actions, and provide regular reporting and updates to relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies, and promote adherence to best practices in governance and project management. Qualifications: Extensive experience (12+ years) in solution governance, project management, or related roles, with a focus on large-scale software implementations, preferably in the insurance industry. Extensive experience in using and guiding the team to use Jira, Rally and other Atlassian tools Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies, with experience in implementing governance practices within Agile frameworks. Proven track record of successfully driving governance initiatives, developing governance frameworks, and supporting strategic planning and execution. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans and solutions. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving objectives. Certification(s) such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent, desirable.
