Title: AWS Cloud Engineer Location: Fully Remote Duration: 6-12 months with extension Visa: No H1B/CPT Job Description: Responsibilities Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services to support healthcare software applications. Deploy and manage applications on the AWS cloud platform, ensuring smooth operation and scalability. Optimize cost and performance of cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices and utilizing AWS cost management tools. Ensure security and compliance of cloud infrastructure in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal teams using AWS cloud services. Collaborate with agile teams, including scrum masters, QA testers, and product owners, to deliver feature enhancements and support ongoing software development projects. Communicate effectively with team members across different time zones and provide regular updates on project progress. Participate in interviews and provide project examples to demonstrate expertise in AWS and Java to the hiring manager. Adapt to changing business objectives and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team. Qualifications Required Bachelors Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND seven (7) years of software development experience with at least two (2) years of experience in cloud development or deployment in a private, public, government or military environment. OR High School Diploma/GED from AND fourteen (14) years of software development experience with at least two (2) years of experience in cloud development or deployment in a private, public, government or military environment. AND In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required: Five (5) years of software development experience using one or more of the following: Java or Python in a private, public, government or military environment. One (1) year of experience with containerization technology such as Docker, Kubernetes or AWS ECS in a private, public, government or military environment. Desired MS or BS degree in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering from an accredited institution. Experience working in a data science environment with large amounts of data. Experience with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda/Step Functions. Demonstrated skills in software engineering methodology including documentation, configuration management, unit and integration testing, and verification and validation. Experience with distributed version control systems, such as Git. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience developing code for a Linux/Unix based operating system.
