Please let me know your interest in the below role- Network Engineer Location: Chicago, IL(Onsite) Local candidates only Duration: 6+ months Visa: No H1B, No CPT & No TN Rate: $50/hr oN C2C Max * Must have Ruckus experience The Network Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing and supporting the client's expansive IT infrastructure, prioritizing high availability and uptime as per Service Level Requirements (SLRs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Responsibilities include the management, maintenance, planning, scheduling, integration, and troubleshooting of the entire network ecosystem encompassing WANs, LANs, WLANs, VPNs, VoIP, and other devices. Additionally, the Senior Network Engineer ensures the implementation of robust network security measures in line with industry best practices. This environment predominantly features Ruckus switches and Access Points, Cradle point Branch routers, and Cisco Catalyst 1000 series routers. The WAN employs various technologies including private DWDM fiber, site-to-site VPNs, and leased circuits. Reporting to the Client Delivery Executive with guidance from the Infrastructure Project Manager, the Network Engineer assumes responsibility for network installation planning, upgrades, cutovers, and testing. Responsibilities: Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Ruckus and non-Ruckus network switches and components to support daily operations. Perform network administration and operational tasks, including monitoring network health and collecting statistical data for performance analysis. Ensure accuracy and currency of all network documentation and resolve issues using the helpdesk ticketing system. Manage Ruckus configurations, patch testing, and application, along with participation in Change Advisory Board meetings. Conduct software installations, CLI scripting for mass updates and configuration validation, and maintain effective communication with end-users and technology department members. Assist in executing project tasks, liaise with hardware vendors for break/fix scenarios, and perform assigned duties as delegated. Conduct vulnerability investigations and mitigations on network infrastructure to ensure compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and other regulations. Requirements: Hold current CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification with at least 5 years of experience in multi-site networks supporting over 1000 endpoints. Proficient in ITIL concepts and familiar with common network tools. Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing Ruckus and Cisco Catalyst network equipment. Demonstrated self-starting attitude with a proactive approach to environment management. Experience with ServiceNow is preferred.
