JOB TITLE: TIDS Software Quality Assurance Analyst - Wireless Network Test Engineer (Advanced Wi-Fi Router Solutions) Location : Denver, CO JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for Integration and Functional Testing on 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Advanced Wi-Fi Routers, Candidate must be SME in Wireless Networking, LAN/WLAN, Wireless Security, DNS, and DHCP services, Candidate must Coordinate with Design, Architecture, Development and Operations to ensure optimal customer experience. Must have hands-on working experience in Networking and Cable Industry,Responsible for coordinating with onshore and offshore team members. Responsible for development of test strategies and the design of quality assurance practices. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborates with product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements. Review Product & Technical Requirements and Design specifications of overall product. Represents Testing Team in planning meetings to provide input and guidance on testing best practices. Develop, modify, and execute test plans, test procedures, and test scenarios. Write and execute sanity & regression suites to validate Wi-Fi product features & functionalities and software applications. Execute automated test suites and update test runs, ensures maintenance and tracking of test cases and test accounts. Participates in design, code and functional product reviews. Works with other Validation Engineers & FW Engineers to identify, reproduce and document bugs or defects. Assists in providing guidance and mentorship for junior-level Quality Assurance Engineers. Provides technical leadership and consultation with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Work with automation teams and review test scripts to measure software code quality and functionality. Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs. Must involve in the troubleshooting meetings and provide required assistance to the FW Development teams and vendors. Conducts both happy-path and negative tests scenarios while doing exploratory testing. Responsible for compliance with company standards, policies and procedures REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skills/Abilities and Knowledge: Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees,customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). Self-starter, self-motivated, driven individual. Ability to work well with shifting priorities Good knowledge of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wireless Networking Standards, TCP/IP, VLANS and routing protocols. Good Knowledge on Unix and Linux Commands, Solid understanding of the OSI model. Good Knowledge on WLAN/LAN/WAN Network Engineering and implementation with hand-on Troubleshooting skills. Proficient understanding of Networking terminology and components (e.g., DHCP, IP Routing). Deep understanding and prior experience working on 802.11 MAC/PHY protocols & 802.11 specifications. Programming experience in any of the scripting languages (PERL, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.) Good Understanding in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and systems. Proficient with network analysis tools, such as Wireshark, Wi-Fi Analyzer, Heat Mapping Tools, PingPlotter). Proficient using JIRA for work management and reporting. Experience with Test Rails is a plus Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements. Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in a fast paced environment. Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure. Ability to prioritize and organize effectively. Ability to provide coaching and counseling when necessary. Ability to supervise and motivate others. Strong leadership skills with proven ability to provide effective, results oriented direction. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
