Job Description: ROLE: Java (AWS) Solution Architect LOCATION: Chicago IL (Remote) + 15-20% travel, expenses paid by client TYPE: Long term contract Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient AWS solutions. Design end-to-end data integration and transformation architectures using AWS services, with a specific emphasis on incorporating DataStage. Implement and deploy AWS solutions using best practices for security, reliability, and performance. Configure and optimize AWS services such as Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and others to support DataStage workflows. Leverage deep knowledge of IBM InfoSphere DataStage to design, develop, and maintain data integration jobs. Provide expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing DataStage jobs for performance and efficiency. Develop and implement data integration strategies to move, transform, and manage data within AWS environments. Ensure data governance and compliance requirements are met throughout the integration process. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business analysts, to ensure successful implementation of solutions. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Create comprehensive documentation for architectures, configurations, and processes. Keep documentation up to date with changes and improvements. Qualifications: Proven experience as an AWS Solution Architect, with a focus on data integration and transformation. Extensive expertise in IBM InfoSphere DataStage. Strong understanding of AWS services, including but not limited to Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and AWS Lambda. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
