Position: Senior SQL Developer Location: Remote Duration: 6+ months Visa: Only USC/GC/ Ead Interview: Video Job Description: Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The team this SQL Developer will be joining is responsible for the ETL processes involved in providing complex statistical reports to various business units and regulatory bodies across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in developing high volumes of SQL code, optimizing SQL queries, and managing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. This role involves working in a hybrid data storage environment and interacting with both on-prem data warehouses and cloud hosted data lakes. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus. Responsibilities: SQL Development: Develop and maintain high volumes of efficient and scalable SQL code. Optimize SQL queries for improved performance and responsiveness. Data Extraction and Reporting: Extract and manipulate data from various sources to create comprehensive reports. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver accurate and insightful reports. SSRS Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports. Ensure that reports meet business needs and adhere to best practices. ETL Expertise: Utilize strong ETL skills to design and implement effective data integration processes. Work with large datasets and ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL lifecycle. Data Warehouse and Data Lake Management: Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouses and data lakes. Implement best practices for data modeling and ensure data consistency. Hybrid Environment: Work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-premises and cloud-based solutions. Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration in a mixed technology environment. GCP Experience (Nice to Have): Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related tools. Ability to leverage GCP services for data storage, processing, and analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a equivalent industry level experience. Proven experience as a Senior SQL Developer or similar role. Strong proficiency in SQL development and optimization. Strong experience with SSRS report development. Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing. Familiarity with data lakes and hybrid cloud environments. Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
