| Role; Mainframe Developer with .Net and C# Location: Wethersfield, CT / Hartford , CT (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Month Contract Visa: USC , GC, H4 EAD, GC EAD Bill Rate $58.00hr all inclusive Job Description Hybrid Role Candidate must be within 100 miles CT with DL. The agency desires to maintain a hybrid work schedule. Two days per week onsite minimum. Due to the nature of the upcoming work, face-to-face discussions are most productive especially at the beginning of large project planning sessions. Provide general support of licensing applications. Upcoming initiative includes the replat formeing of the mainframe-based licensing system. The candidate must be proficient with mainframe platform skills including CICS, batch analysis, and SOAP web services. With the licensing system moving to to a new platform, necessary skills include.NET development, and web services. Advanced skills developing Restful web services is a primary consideration for this engagement. - The project that we are gearing up for is the refactoring of a mainframe application to a modern underlying infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to assist with the transition of the legacy mainframe application from CICS, COBOL, VSam to a .NET framework, C#, SQL environment. The ideal candidate: will be proficient in .NET, C#, and SQL must have a strong understanding of CICS, COBOL, VSam to support the legacy system transition will additionally have strong skills for developing RESTful API's to support data exchange between various systems --- SCOPE OF WORK What does the project / work entail.
