Lead is responsible for design, implemention, and maintaining software applications that meet business requirements. A lead developer works with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to identify project goals, define timelines, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery. Also, mentor and train junior developers, review code, conduct quality assurance testing, troubleshoot issues, and stay up to date with emerging technologies. Coordinates systems analysis and applications development activities through direct and indirect staff. Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning, and standard development practices. Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices, and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing, and implementing systems applications development projects and programs. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience. Experience: A minimum of 7 years of IT and business work experience including leading developers in systems analysis and/or programming functions. Complexity: Lead Web Developer in systems analysis and programming functions. Typically leads and mentors senior web developers and/or technical staff. Works under general direction of senior-level management.
