Job Description: ROLE: Databricks Admin LOCATION: Remote (PST) TYPE: Long term contract Responsibilities: Design, build, and test Python libraries and packages for Databricks administration, such as managing workspaces, identities, clusters, jobs, policies, templates, pools, storage, security, and performance. Develop and deploy Databricks applications using Spark, Delta Lake, SQL, and MLFlow. Integrate Databricks with various Azure services and resources, such as Application Gateways, virtual networks, storage accounts, Key Vaults, and backups. Troubleshoot and resolve Databricks platform-level and user-level issues. Optimize and monitor the usage and cost of Databricks resources and services. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and deliver data solutions. Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies for Databricks environments. Automate Databricks environment deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, YAML, and Helm charts. Document and maintain Databricks best practices and standards. Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in Python development, preferably with PySpark 3+ years of experience in Databricks administration and development Strong knowledge of Databricks features and functionalities, such as Unity Catalog, audit logs, Databricks SQL, Delta Live Tables, and MLOps Experience with Azure cloud platform and services, such as containers, virtual machines, firewalls, network security groups, web application firewalls, VNets, log analytics, sentinel, azure monitor, alerting, metrics, Data Factory, Azure AD, Data Catalog, Web Apps, Functions, Application Service Environments, etc. Experience with Docker and cloud-based containerization technologies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, etc. Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to the needs of a growing platform and its stakeholders.
