Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Engineer with 6-8 years of experience to join our team in building innovative applications for the Android platform using Java, Kotlin, and React Native. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Android development and React Native to create highly interactive user interfaces and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. (Contract) Role: - Senior Engineer- React Native Location: Chicago, IL/ Wauwatosa, WI Client is TCS Technical/Functional Skills Key Responsibilities: Code and build applications for the Android platform using Java, Kotlin, and React Native. Write quality code and maintain responsiveness of the application. Collaborate with the team to develop features and translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code. Understand the existing software ecosystem and application codebase. Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and optimize mobile apps for maximum speed and scalability. Adhere to clients software development processes and best practices. Provide quality feedback on PRs and peer code reviews. Collaborate with team members across various disciplines to solve problems at scale. Essential Skills: Strong working knowledge of Android development with Kotlin and React Native. Familiarity with design patterns, algorithms, and push notifications. Experience with storage techniques, threads, and performance tuning. Understanding of Material Design guidelines and Human Interface guidelines. Proficiency in fundamental algorithms, data structures, and mobile applications. Experience using Jenkins, Jira/agile tools, SVN, or Git. Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and functional tests. Experience delivering projects in an agile methodology. Experience working with remote teams and excellent communication skills. Desirable Skills: Experience in performance analysis and tuning, including memory usage, CPU utilization, and power/battery usage. Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
