Develops using COBOL on z/OS using TSO, CICS, and JCL applying solutions across varying platforms. Leads other technical resources in development / implementation of complex technical solutions. Designs, configures, develops, integrates, tests and deploys technology solutions to meet business requirements. Consults / collaborates and communicates with the business to ensure clarification of business requirements. Initiates, implements and optimizes processes for effectiveness & productivity. Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality in accordance with the expectations established by your supervisor and WoodmenLife policy. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications This job requires a background that demonstrates the following minimum knowledge, skills, talents and traits: Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience Demonstrated ability to work with varying technical tools required to fulfill responsibilities. Must be self-motivated and results oriented. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines on multiple concurrent tasks. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills with both IT and business audiences. Ability to iteratively and incrementally improve both products and processes; ability to analyze and resolve performance issues in all environments. Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle. Proficient working with Microsoft SQL Server and/or DB2, understanding database design and basic database administration functions. Ability to analyze business requirements, processes, data, and system integration points to determine/recommend appropriate technology solutions. Knowledge of architectural patterns and practices. Ability to engage well with others and be passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience. Ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service. Desired Qualifications Highly preferred is experience working with Ingenium on z/OS Experience working in the insurance industry experience preferred IBM z/OS operating environment, TSO, CICS, COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
