Position : SQL Developer, USC or GC Only Location: 100% remote work but looking for someone local Duration: 4+ Month MOI: Phone and Video Location : 100% remote work but looking for someone local to NYC (10169), Windsor, CT, and/or Atlanta, GA to go into the office from time to time Duration : 4+ months contract USC & GC Only Job Description: I need additional, SOLID candidates for the SQL/C# role ASAP NEED ADDITIONAL CANDIDATES ASAP: update to the job specs: 60% SQL 30% C# 10% python This is SQL developer NOT BI stack (SSRS, SSIS). No longer a lift and shift project. I would look for a solid .Net developer with solid SQL. Must have joins, tables, views, etc. The roles on my team will be more SQL database development, SSRS reports and some ETL/batch processing work. We are migrating AGI (Allianz) applications as a lift and shift exercise for most part. The candidate is expected to build data reconciliation automations, make necessary code changes to the processes or SSRS reports to work in and partner with AGI SMEs for UAT and parallel testing. This role will require very little .net development, but knowledge of Perl will be helpful. Required: BS Degree in Computer Science or similar curriculum. 4-7 years of application development experience for the mid-level roles 7-10 years of experience for the Senior roles. Relational database development experience is required, including strong database design, implementation, SQL query skills. Microsoft SQL Server is preferred (MS SQL 2019/2016/2012). Data warehouse experience is a plus. Microsoft Development tools, including TFS, C#.NET, and/or ASP.NET MVC (4 or newer is a plus). Experience with Web development tools including HTML5, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, LINQ, CSS, Kendo UI/Telerik, MVC. Experience supporting job processing streams and scheduling environment is required. Experience with Python, Power BI, Microsoft Azure Cloud Technology is a plus. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is desired Experience working in an Agile scrum development environment is desired but not required Experience developing financial applications and understanding financial concepts are desired. Experience supporting and developing applications for Equity or Fund of Funds investment groups including trading systems, trade order entry systems, decision support portfolio management systems, securities databases, financial accounting systems and/or databases is a strong plus. Responsibilities: This candidate will be involved in implementation of longer-term project as well as smaller project tasks. The ability to multi-task is essential. The candidate will need to be able to work independently and within a small team. The candidate is expected to build a strong rapport with the investment teams, operations personnel and information technology team members. The ideal candidate must be flexible and have strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate prompt problem resolution. This role includes business day user support for applications developed and supported by our team. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly understand how each application functions in order to troubleshoot issues, determine appropriate resolution and communicate resolution clearly with our customer base which includes portfolio managers, investment professionals and operations staff. This role involves being included in an overnight processing support rotation to support processes loading financial information overnight that is required for the start of the business day.
