Job Title: SQL DBA Location: Salt Lake City, Utah (Hybrid) Duration : 12+ months Role overview: The candidate should have a background in database administration and able to handle task independently or with minimum supervision. Able to work with development groups to provide wide range of database services such as design, query tuning and optimization, troubleshooting database issues, performance tuning to meet application needs. Coordination with global teams to ensure policies, procedures and projects are in line with global strategy and able to formulate new policies and procedures. Participate in POC and developing various engineering solution. Automate manual tasks. Also willing to participate in production support. Responsibilities: Design, develop and optimize databases for diverse application workloads POC, Installation, configuration, upgrade and maintenance of DBMS environment. Provide production support. Manage various OS and database specific upgrades on Windows environment. Work with Application teams to provide guidance and consultancy for optimization and performance tuning. Build self-service and automation tools using scripts/programs (ex. powershell) in order to reduce manual processing in providing low-touch offerings Working closely with Microsoft Engineering and Product support teams to provide feedback as well as new feature requirements as per the firms development needs Technical Qualifications: Looking for a candidate with 8-12 years of MSSQL DBA experience Detailed knowledge of Always On and Clustering Has worked migrating SQL Servers from on premise to Cloud (AWS specifically a plus) Skilled in evaluating and tuning sql for performance enhancement Bachelors Engineering degree Preferred Organizational Qualifications: Excellent communication skills to partner with app developers (including the confidence & ability to influence and promote database solutions) Excellent analytical skills in understanding issues and devising specific database solutions for global applications Thanks, Tekskills Inc Srinithya.G US IT Recruiter Email : [email protected] -- Keywords: information technology golang |
