| From: Chetan Kumar Jha, Absolute IT [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Unix/Linux System Admin Duration: 6-12 Months Location: Hybrid in St Louis, MO Visa: USC & GC Every other Monday there would be evening shift(2 Mondays in a month) Job Description: Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications. Troubleshoots system issues and resolves or escalates. Creates and updates system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures. MANAGER NOTES What we need -Junior/Mid-Level candidate 1+ years (Unix admin or app support) -knowledge of a DevOps environment -Willingness to learn basic Kubernetes for support. - Experience supporting systems that sit on server and tie to a Database. They do not build servers, but on occasion help with deployments. Big Pluses/Willingness to learn -Ability to run and read basic shell scripting and SQL. -Bash-just an understanding or willingness to research it prior to an interview. -ability to support file systems/Unix config for UNIX and Linux -Helpful if they understand middleware. -MuleSoft or previous SF experience would be a huge plus.
