THERE IS A PLAIN ORACLE PEOPLESOFT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (THIS ONE) AND A PEOPLESOFT SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR POSITION (ALREADY SENT OUT) OPEN. THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT POSITIONS. CANDIDATES DO NOT NEED TO BE LOCAL AND CAN WORK 100% REMOTE AFTER TRAVELING TO MIAMI FOR FINGER PRINTING.

*** We need: A senior (10+ Years) PeopleSoft Systems Administrator for a long -term project working with Miami Dade County. Must have in-depth proven experience managing

Oracle PeopleSoft infrastructure and applications. The assignments may include integrations with other systems - both internal and external to the county; Standardize and automate processes and monitoring

using scripting technology; Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures. This is a government position at candidates will need to travel to Miami for Fingerprinting if selected. I am not sure if the client will pay for travel, but we will figure it out.
**Candidates must have Long Projects/Good Tenure, Excellent communication skills and a State issued ID (Not Bills) showing they are Local.

As a PeopleSoft Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and optimization of our organization's PeopleSoft application infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of PeopleSoft systems to support business operations effectively.

Responsibilities:

System Administration:

Install, configure, and maintain PeopleSoft application servers, web servers, and database servers in a multi-tier architecture environment.

Perform software installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations for PeopleSoft applications and related components.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to maximize uptime and efficiency.

Infrastructure Management:

Manage server and storage resources to ensure adequate capacity and scalability for PeopleSoft environments.

Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard PeopleSoft data and ensure business continuity.

Coordinate with network and security teams to configure firewalls, load balancers, and other network infrastructure components to support PeopleSoft deployments securely.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:

Establish monitoring tools and procedures to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, system errors, and security threats.

Conduct regular health checks, system audits, and compliance assessments to ensure PeopleSoft environments meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, procedures, and troubleshooting resources.

User Support and Training:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and IT staff regarding PeopleSoft system issues and inquiries.

Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within PeopleSoft applications.

Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to promote effective utilization of PeopleSoft features and functionalities.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

Work closely with application developers, database administrators, and other IT teams to implement system enhancements, integrations, and customizations in PeopleSoft environments.

Participate in project planning and execution for PeopleSoft upgrades, migrations, and expansion initiatives.

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to PeopleSoft systems administration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Previous experience (10years) in system administration roles, with specific experience in managing PeopleSoft environments preferred.

Proficiency in PeopleSoft administration tools, including PeopleTools, Application Designer, Change Assistant, and Data Mover.

Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL scripting, and performance tuning techniques in the context of PeopleSoft applications.

Familiarity with cloud-based PeopleSoft deployments (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are desirable.
