Location: Remote but 50/50 travel requirement to Care New England

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Leads full cycle Epic implementation of an enterprise wide EHR system with a multi-million dollar budget, utilizing Epics methodology and Epic enterprise-wide healthcare applications suite with a focus on the acute care, clinical, and revenue cycle applications

Provides management, direction, communication and leadership for the execution of the program including leading efforts for requirements, deliverables, objectives, resources, and project schedules; monitors project progress and produces deliverables on schedule and within budget; communicates to stakeholders on key issues, risks and resource requirements, budget and cost factors, and technical challenges.

Maintains project management documentation, policies, processes to standards based on Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology

Functions as an advocate, Change Agent and serves as a positive role model for encouraging others to embrace operational changes and transformation associated with the Epic EHR implementation and other application technology projects.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel on-site will be required as project and client needs warrant

Required Experience:

At least one (1) full cycle Epic implementation of an enterprise wide EHR system with a multi-million dollar budget, utilizing Epics methodology and Epic enterprise-wide healthcare applications suite with a focus on the acute care, clinical, and revenue cycle applications

Basic architectural knowledge across IT and telecom environments

Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical, planning and excellent communication skills, successfully built team relationships and partnerships across the business

At least five (5) years of experience as a proven change agent and mentor

Skilled in Microsoft Office products including MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; ability to use other on-premises or cloud-based project management and reporting.

Ability to effectively utilize external vendors and resources throughout the organization.

Strong negotiation, consulting, and arbitration skills.

Bachelors degree in Healthcare or Computer Science

Preferred Training and Experience:

Ten (10)+ years of successful experience in healthcare operations or healthcare informatics preferred with five (5) years in a clinical capacity

PMP certification with extensive experience managing projects across healthcare focused on execution and control of scope, budgets, schedules, issues, risks, testing, training, and end-user adoption

Epic Certification in two or more areas

Masters degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, or similar
