In addition to the boilerplate information in the generic job description, the client mentioned that this is a senior very senior-level role that will involve a lot of hands-on technical leadership as well as being able to guide technical teams and also be very collaborative with business units, IT, etc. We need someone with vision who is able to think big and help drive projects in a technically hands-on sort of way. A strong principal engineer who can crank out proof of concepts and is experienced in areas like software engineering in .net, Java, swift, etc. Some solution architectural background is a very nice to have. Principal Software Engineer Position Summary : Principal Software Engineers within the Life Time Technology group are responsible for leading delivery of the technical design and development of software components for assigned products. Job Duties and Responsibilities Design, code, and test technical solutions with an emphasis on Test Driven Development Proactively work with Business Analysts to understand project requirements Recognize and effectively communicate risks to project timelines and quality Strive to eliminate defects as early as possible by actively participating in code reviews Support and help guide the evolution of the systems architecture. Identify system deficiencies and proactively recommend solutions Increase efficiency of team by mentoring other team members.
